Call for Papers: Information Disorder Workshop at LREC 2026

Date:

Overview

The Information Disorder Workshop (InDor) is inviting submissions for its upcoming event, which will take place alongside the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. This workshop aims to address the critical issue of online disinformation, fostering interdisciplinary discussions and advancements in Natural Language Processing (NLP) research.

Background & Relevance

Online disinformation poses significant challenges to societies, influencing public opinion and behaviors. The NLP community is increasingly engaged in combating this issue through the development of datasets and technologies for identifying fake news. However, the field lacks a unified theoretical framework, leading to fragmented approaches. The workshop seeks to establish a common ground for research on disinformation, emphasizing the need to understand cultural factors and the contextual elements that contribute to the spread of false information.
