Call for Papers: 4th International Workshop on Semantic Technologies and Deep Learning Models

Date:

Overview

The 4th International Workshop on Semantic Technologies and Deep Learning Models for Scientific, Technical, and Legal Web will take place in Dubai, UAE, co-located with The Web Conference 2026. This workshop aims to explore the intersection of Semantic Web technologies and deep learning, focusing on their applications in various domains.

Background & Relevance

The integration of Semantic Web technologies with deep learning is crucial for advancing knowledge representation across scientific, technical, and legal fields. As the volume of domain-specific knowledge on the web continues to grow, robust methodologies that combine symbolic and sub-symbolic approaches are increasingly necessary. This workshop provides a platform for researchers to discuss innovative solutions that enhance the reliability and interpretability of web data.

Key Details

  • Workshop Dates: April 13 or 14, 2026
  • Location: Dubai, UAE
  • Abstract Submission Deadline: January 5, 2026
  • Paper Submission Deadline: January 12, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: February 2, 2026
  • Camera-Ready Contributions Due: February 15, 2026
  • Submission Link: EasyChair
  • Publication: Proceedings will be published in a CEUR-WS.org volume, indexed on Google Scholar, DBLP, and Scopus.

Eligibility & Participation

The workshop invites contributions from researchers and practitioners working on Semantic Web technologies and deep learning. At least one author from each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present their work in person.

Submission or Application Guidelines

Submissions must be in English and adhere to the CEURS-WS one column format. The review process will be single-blind. The following types of papers are encouraged:
Full Research Papers (10-16 pages): Should clearly state the contribution and methodology, including comparisons with existing approaches.
Replicability/Reproducibility Papers (8-10 pages): Focus on repeating prior experiments or assessing the robustness of previous work.
Short Papers (6-9 pages): Should describe significant work in progress, particularly in emerging areas of legal data.

All submissions should not exceed the indicated page limits, including diagrams and references. Accepted papers will be made available on the workshop website.

Additional Context / Real-World Relevance

The workshop’s focus on Semantic Web technologies and deep learning is timely, given the increasing reliance on AI in managing and interpreting vast amounts of data across various sectors. By fostering collaboration and discussion among researchers, this workshop aims to contribute to the development of more effective AI solutions that can handle complex web data.

Conclusion

Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to submit their work to this workshop, which promises to be a significant event for those interested in the convergence of Semantic Web technologies and deep learning.
